Esplanade, theatre and “posikunchiki” meat pies: Russian Tourism Agency has developed a city-break route in Perm
Local theatres, museums, a stroll along the Kama embankment, tasting local cuisine - these are the things offered for tourists from all over the country.
Rostourism, Russian Tourism Agency, has worked out ideas for short trips to Russian cities. The list of possible places includes 20 destinations from south to the Far East; among those are Ulan-Ude, Samara, Kazan, Murmansk, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Vladivistok, Khabarovsk, Perm and others.
Rostourism route offers tourists an intense and active programme including the strolls along the Kama river and the Esplanade, visit to the Stones Park, the Edem Park and the Gorky Park, as well as the theatres and museums. The authors of the tourist route also note that there is an opportunity for visiting locations outside Perm and into the Perm Region, such as the Belogorie (the White Mountain) monastery, open-air architectural museum at Khokhlovka, the Us’va Stones, the Stone City, as well as to go rafting down the local rivers.
Apart from cultural and active leisure programmes, the tourists can enjoy trying dishes of local cuisine: posikinchiki (meat pies), pies with pistiki (horsetail herb), roast beef with baked roots and lingonberries or ice-cream with pine cones topping, Urals assorted salted vegetables, white mushrooms and game dishes.
As reported, Rostourism has recently published the final results of the first All-Russian competition of the tourism centres development in large cities. Perm took part in the competition and produced one of best projects which will receive 203 mln roubles of federal grant.
